Initial Driver CPC

 

LGV/PCV Drivers:

 

If you are a new (learner) driver taking your test in any catagory from C1 to C+E you will need to pass all 4 modules of the test, these being;

  1. Hazard Perception and Theory
  2. Case Study Questions & Answers
  3. Practical Driving Test
  4. Practical Demonstration Test

Once you have passed all of the tests you will be compliant for your current 5 year period.  However, you will still need to undergo a minimum of 7 hours per year to stay compliant for the next 5 year period.

 

Note: If you passed your test after 9th Sept 2009 or are a member of the Armed Forces or otherwise DCPC exempt you will need to take parts 2 & 4 before you can drive commercially

Periodic CPC for existing LGV/PCV vocational licence holders

 

 

All drivers of vehicles over 3.5t or 9 seats (bus) must now undergo 35 hours of PERIODIC TRAINING.  PCV drivers must complete this by 9th September 2013 and LGV drivers by 9th September 2014.
